    Nvidia 8800 GT and 1080p Bluray??

    Hi there,
    Current specs:
    OS = Windows 7 Ultimate
    GFX=Nvidia 8800GT 512MB
    Mobo= Asus P5N-e SLI
    4 gb Corsair RAM
    Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 @ 3ghz
    Samaung Bluray Rom drive

    Question:
    I am thinking of buying a large screen 1080P Plasma to replace 32" LCD @ 720p.

    I have been happily watching Bluray with my current set-up, but can my system actually output 1080P or is it 1080i ???? How could I check?? I guess Id need to set the output resolution to 1920 x 1080 @ 60hz.
    If not do I need a new GFX card??

    Another related question... The TV will support 1920 x 1080 @ 24 hZ for judder free bluray playback.
    Should I, can I, set the res at 1920x1080 @ 24hz instead when i watch bluray??

    Yes it does support 1080p. If you go in to the Nvidia Control Panel you should see the resolution for it. If you go to the "change resolution" section, you should see all the HD resolutions available.
