Question about Geforce 6200AGP

I have a 12 year old computer which originally came with Windows 98, later upgraded to XP. Its mobo is a GA-8ST800. It currently has a 4MB 16-bit color Trident 3D Image 9750 AGP 4X card. I will be installing Windows 7 32-bit, will a Geforce 6200 256MB AGP 8X card ever work on that system?

Card should be fine in that board. The fun begins as to whether or not the AGP driver from the chipset will work properly allowing for the video card driver to be installed.

I will be doing a clean install of Win7 so the default chipset drivers will be loaded, is there a necessity to install the XP chipset drivers in compatibility mode to use the Geforce 6200?

Might want to grab the SiS AGP XP driver anyway,

http://www.sis.com/download/download....php?id=155871

I have a similar vintage AMD system with the SiS 746/963L chipset on it that uses the same AGP driver. When I installed 7 on it I had to use the above driver to get the video card driver to install. Don't remember whether I used compatibility mode or not (probably did). Funny thing is that after installing the XP driver, a quick visit to Windows Update and it offered a Windows 7 driver for it; and it didn't show up in WU until after the XP driver was installed.

Looking over the specs for it you can get the driver for the onboard audio (ALC650) straight from Realtek (the AC'97, not the HD).

Let Win 7 download all the updates for the board (hopefully most of the components are recognised) cos you will end up with older bus drivers on system which screw up sound/graphics etc otherwise.

6200 Agp 256/512 works fine with aero
Make sure aperture in bios is set higher to 64/128 You might have to disable 'fastwrites' too for 4x socket

Don't forget to run WEi first - cos that can block aero till you have run it!

Keep rebooting to 'bed-in' drivers too after updates!

Then reboot again!

I've run AGPx8 cards in AGPx4 slots a couple of times with no problems. If you run the windows 7 upgrade adviser it should be able to flag any show stoppers for you.

Can a GeForce GTX 560 TI use GeForce Experience Shadowplay?
As said in the title, i'm wondering if the GTX 560 TI can use Shadowplay. I am on a budget and I don't want to waste $180 on a capture card with the same quality. Hope it will work (PS: if it will work, will I lose performance and quality?)
