4870 vs. 6950. Same settings; D3D9

Third capture is the 6950 running in all of it's nativity.

Well I finally decided to flash my 6950 to a 6970...... first one before flash, second - after flash



Benchmarks before flash.... 1280x1024, then 1920x1080

Only gained 4-5 points

Noise and temps are about the same though. We'll see how it goes as in about a week though.

Right now I'm playing FEAR 3 all maxed out (it's a DX11 game) and it's running without any stuttering or slowdowns, though I'm not sure the game is a system tasker.



So far the card hasn't acted up but like I said before, I'm not overclocking it, just using the 6970 BIOS. I've also done no tweaks in the CCC control panel.

That's about right. I'm running 880/1375 with mines flashed to a 6970 and get 44 fps at that res.

Good.

11.6 drivers running at max everything..
- no overclock..

Those are some damn good numbers at that res for that crossfire setup
