Windows 7: nVidia card not detected on re-install!

nVidia card not detected on re-install!

I had to reinstall 7100 - don't ask! - and I had to force the system to think it was a 8400M as it got installed as Standard VGA card.
The problem is that running nVidia new driver just gives 'compatible device not detected' type error.
What is going on? Everything was fine before.
Any ideas?

Problem solved by installing original Vista drivers.

I had a similar problem back when I was using WinXP 64 - just make sure to get the WHQL drivers from Nvidia and not a third party site. Glad it worked out for you.
