Sorry it took so long to post these. This is all the room I have to work with. As you can see the power supply on right sticks way out.

would it be possible to have the PSU outside the case? Insane/but if the system doesn't move and the PSU could be hidden (if this is even important)that would free up lots of room....

I had not thought of that. I would take some radical wire routing. I would have to see what I could rig up. It would be nice if it was on the outside if it was attached.

I am still kicking around the idea of a new case also. That and possibly a complete new build! LOL. ( I cannot stop!) Then I could utalize the extra RAM and PSU I have. Also I could get another case to accommodate the 5850 that I want and leave this case/card intact. I think that is a new thread though.LOL

This new vid card adventure has turned into a possible new project.

Well I finally got in my new card. I went with the MSI R5770. I does all I wanted it to. Plays my 1080p movies while I encode or rip anothe one. This is one BA card. It does fit in my case, but with not even a mm to spare. I had to disassemble my HTPC in order to get it to fit. Honestly even one more mm and I dont think it would fit! Thanks to everone for all the help and advise in choosing this card.

I am totally impressed with this card. I ran a test stressing the card for 3 hours at 100% and the fan at 30% the temp on the card never went past 50 deg C. The funny thing is I was actually thinking that I needed more power. After test driving this one I have all the power I need. I am not huge into games so this card is going to do fine.
