    Radeon HD 4890 Power Supply


    I left frys without checking what i need my acer power supply cant run this Grapics card i need the 6pin thing.. And im stoke on witch PSU to buy i shop at frys.com

    hey ok you have a radeon HD 4890 right? and it will not work because why? what power supply was in it? did you change the video card?

    Yea Zig its a radeon HD 4890 Just bought it... My psu does not have the 6pin power cords for the radeon so i need to buy one. But i dont know witch one to buy rofl

    With that card I wouldn't look at anything less than a 500-600W power supply. Something like this would do nicely,

    P.S. That card requires two 6 pin connectors.

    If your current power supply has enough power you can just buy a 4-pin molex connector to 6-pin PCI Express connector adapter.

    An Acer computer, the power supply won't be much above the bare minimum to run the computer with the hardware it comes with.

    Gotta watch some of mfg's as well as they sometimes don't use standard plugs on the mobo and such...so it can be a bit tricky getting a power supply that works.

    Stormy When i goto frys what in the hell shoud i ask for ?
    and dont i have to get one that will fit my Acer case. ?
