Different colour when viewing image in fullscreen

    Hi,

When viewing a picture it looks unnatural however if I full screen it, it looks how it should be. Any ideas on this?

    Thanks

it's probably your samsung monitor profile - they've been faulty for a long time.

type color into your start-menu searchbox, then chose 'color management' from the results >> goto the advanced tab >> select 'system default (sRGB IEC61966-2.1) for your device profile.

please let us know if that cures your problem.

hmm, that's very similar to the way my images looked before i changed my monitor color proile.

when i saw you had a samsung monitor, i thought 'aha!'

here's an old screenshot that i've dug up showing the same image in photoshop and in windows photo viewer:

my problem was solved as soon as i changed the device profile as i mentioned above.

if you're sure that you're already using sRGB IECblah, then it looks as if you have a different problem...

Similar to mickey, I have dual monitors (22" and 19", both Acer) and on the 22" (main display) I would get a purple tinge to pictures. In my case to get the 22" to display properly I had to change the default ICC from the one from the for the 22" to the one from the 19",

Click on Add and try some of the other ICC profiles and see if one of them fixes it.

Thank you both. Under the Devices tab I deleted the current one and replaced it with sRGB IEC61966-2.1. Setting this as the default didnt work I had to delete the current profile

    Thanks

now be careful that windows update doesn't try to re-instate the faulty profile!

if you see a samsung monitor entry in windows update (probably in the optional section), right-click and hide it so it won't bother you again.
