Resolutions not showing properly from card VGA to LCD TV.
I've hunted around for an answer and I couldn't find one so I am sorry in advance if this has already been answered.
The problem I am having is there is only ONE resolution that will properly fit my TV screen from my graphics card. In some cases the screen will be off center with there being black to the right or left, in other cases there is black on both sides. I have tried to using the NVIDIA Control Panel to 'adjust desktop size and position' have had no luck. What happens is the image will either go behind the black border, or the image won't fill the entire screen. Here's an image example, the black is part of the viewing area. My graphics card is a (NVIDIA GeForce GT 440), my television is a (1080P 32" LCD LG). The graphics card has a DVI, HDMI, and VGA output. My TV can take HDMI/VGA, both have the same problem.
EDIT BELOW:
The HDMI cable is actually allowing me to changing to higher resolutions now as it wasn't before. Some reason when I from the "HD, SD" resolution list rather than the "PC" list the color becomes dim and just seems a little off in general. Not sure what that is all about but I feel like I should avoid it.
