Well i re-installed WIndows 7 due to some problems with DirectX. And what happened to you happened to me. So i found a solution

PLEASE READ EVERYTHING HERE BEFORE ATEMPING THESE STEPS, IF THIS INSTRUTION IS FAILED YOU AND YOU ONLY IS RESPONSIBLE IF SOMETHING GOES WRONG.

    1. Leave the driver as is.

2.Download this Version of the Driver (Instead of running it SAVE IT to your Desktop)
    http://www.zshare.net/download/54292735bcaf7e79/

    3. Now that its saved to your Desktop Right Click on the File>Compadibility tab>In the dropdown menu select Windows XP SP2> Ok

    4. Now try installign the driver from that file.

    5. Restart> Notice everything is a bit bigger on your Desktop Right click>Screen Resolution>the resolution is set at 800x600 change to your preferred resolution.

Well problem fixed... and it was very weird.
Like I said I installed my old Geforce FX 5200
Downloaded the driver from Nvidia site and there it was, aero and everything else.
I was going to try to install the 6200 like Kidfork said. I downloaded the driver he said (zSHARE - 93.81_forceware_winxp2k_english.exe). After downloading I turned off my computer, removed the FX 5200 and installed the 6200. I turned on the computer and for my surprise there it was, aero, the driver for the fx was working great on 6200.

If anyone wanna try here's the link of the driver:

I have the same video card. I used an older driver to install it.

I don't have access to it right now, but search for the post where I mentioned it. It might take a sec to find it, but I don't have that many posts.

Do not let Windows self install the drivers.

I´m new to this forum and I´d like to say hello to everyone round here!

I had the same problem, a GeForce 6200 causing code 43 after VISTA installation (or after one particular Windows update). It´s the first time
that I got to know that Windows 7 has the same issues.

    Please try the following:

    1. Enter BIOS on starting your system (usually done by pressing F2 or DEL)
    2. Go to "Advanced Chipset Features" (I´m not sure if it´s called the same in every BIOS version)
    3. Set "AGP aperture size" value to 128
    4. Save your changes and leave BIOS

Afterwards please reboot and check if your video card is listed without code 43 in the device manager.
You should now be able to install the appropriate driver for your video card if neccessary.

Please find more information on www.code43.de! Hope this works for you!
Any feedback welcome since I´m trying to find out under which circumstances this problem occurs.

    Have a nice day!

Most drivers for Ati & nvidia are made for most series video cards. They use the same basic driver for all the 5000, 6000, & 7000 AGP cards. For Xp, & Vista. So that is why when you put in your 5200 and installed the driver and than reinstalled 6200 that is why the driver worked. There is many times I'll swap cards around from Ati 3850 to 4850 and not have to reinstall drivers. All the drivers are the same. They label the drivers that way to keep you happy. If you download a drivers for Ati 4870 they will work on the cards below that 4870. Look at product support.

After I was thinking about this I know why you had a problem. You were trying to use the PCIx driver for 6200. nVidia really doesn't list a driver for the AGP 6200 only the 5200. When you installed the driver for 5200 this does support cards from 5100 and up for the AGP.

I'm having the same problem and this didn't help for me either. I bought this card becuase I was upgrading from an older video card that also didn't work. How may I install the right driver for AGP?

Go to nvadia and download the FX5200 vista 32nit driver and try it. this driver supports all the AGP cards. I know it is old driver but if that doesn't work than you might be looking at a motherboard upgraded.
