    Pc hangs and starts showing colors while playing games


    HELLO,

    While playing games on my pc like crysis 2, crysis warhead, fifa 11, Brink and sniper ghost warrior.It hangs and starts showing colours like grey, blue and maroon.<<<<< these colors are the most common ones.

    MY specs.
    OS- Windows 7 ultimate x64
    MB- asus p5kpl am/ps
    GPU- ati radeon hd 4670 (1gb)
    CPU- intel dual core 1.6ghz
    RAM- 3gb (1stick of 1gb and 1 stick of 2 gb) ddr2
    HDD- samsung 160gb

    Your below minimum system spec for cpu.....walking the line on ram...a little better on gpu....has the game ever worked or is this a new problem?

    Gfx artifacts are usually caused by an overheating gfx card. Take the side of the case off and check to see if there is alot of heat coming off the gfx card!!

    Or better yet, download MSI Afterburner, and check the GPU temperature monitor it has built into it.

    If you going over 100 C then you're having problems. Otherwise it might be a clocking issue. If pushing back your core clock and shaders by 10 MHz doesn't work then there may be an issue with the card itself and it's time for a new one.

    As it is, if you go on Dell right now, you can buy a better system than the one you have for about $300.

    I would have to definitely agree with this statement. Try lowering your visual settings ingame? Next question would be are you still able to play games while this happens or does it completely hang up the whole game?
