Windows 7: Can any 6950 still be unlocked?

Youll be fine with either card, so long as you run just a single card.

But multiple cards and you will be restricted to Crossfire (AMD) with that board.
if you have the slightest desire to run a multiple GPU setup, that would be a second good reason to stick with AMD, for what you want to do.

But not all Motherboards are restricted to one ot the other. Some boards can run either.

That's a big reason for upgrading to the 990FX chipset motherboard. AMD is now making Nvidia SLI available officially for the first time.

A great 990FX board is the ASUS Crosshair V Formula; I am writing a review on it right now, just wish AMD would have released BullDozer at the same time.

I recently upgraded my card from a 5750 1GB to a 6950 2GB and the performance increase is amazing (I say that because your system spec says you have a 5750)

I looked into flashing before I brought my card and it seems that some people have been able to flash it successfully but some people have permanently damaging their cards after flashing, I dont know something to do with to much voltage.

on the matter of Nvidia vs ATi I have had both Nvidia and ATi and must say have had a better experience with ATi but that's just me, I looked into both Nvidia cards and ATi cards of the same type and for game performance there doesn't seem to be a clear winner.

Edit: also I have the antec 900 v2 and i will say that my 6950 was a tight fit in the case

Task bar is unlocked, but I can't still can't move it
I unwittingly moved the taskbar to the top of the screen, I usually have it at the bottom. I don't know how it happened. Although it's unlocked, I'm unable to drag it as though it were still locked. I am able to re-size it though. Tried re-booting, made no difference. Thanks for any help.
