Dual monitor problem - 2nd monitor is blank

    have u updated to latest drivers yes susan?

    if your using blue it'll be VGA, make sure the 'input' is set yo VGA on the TFT, should be a single button on the front.

    You need to have both monitors plugged into the Video Card. if you happen to have a VGA port near the USB ports on the back of the case then that one is most likely disabled since you have a video card installed.

    Yes I have updated the display driver. The 2nd monitor's inputs must be correct because I'm using it now as a standalone (monitor 1 temporarily unplugged) and it works fine. Monitor 1 is connected from its VGA output to the computer with an adapter to what I think is called a DVI card.

    Another curious thing that is happening: with both monitors plugged it, when the computer is re-booted monitor 1 doesn't come on. Instead, monitor 2 comes on and displays the "unsupported video configuration detected" message. In order to get monitor 1 back, I have to disconnect monitor 2 and re-boot.

    just as they are plugged in next to each other, and u have updated drivers it'll be a setting issue.

    Susan,
    You have both monitor cables hooked to the video card correct? Not one to the video card and the other to the motherboards now disabled video connection...right?

    The lower two white DVI connectors are the video card and the upper vertical is the motherboards in my example.
