    yes i have the power options, but not the option to adjust screen brightness!

    The only things that I can think of is either a driver (my duh) or a problem with the OS install. Since the OP had a slider in vista and not in win 7. I would try the driver first, then re-install

    I do have the screen brightness slider but I can put it anywhere and it makes no difference!

    Running RTM on Asus M50VC Laptop.

    Asus's Splendid utility (auto dim/brighten the screen) doesn't work with Windows 7, says it cant find uiVista file. FN keys also do nothing!

    Ok, I managed to get the Asus Spendid Utility working by downloading a different version from Asus.

    In the utitilty I can adjust things but the FN keys still dont work.
