Planning on an upgrade
Hello,
Since I've managed to rake in some extra cash I've been planning on an upgrade from my old nVIDIA 9800GT to a GTX460, to accompany my purchase of Battlefield 3, and I also tend to PC game a lot. Unfortunately, I'm not as familiar with a computer as most of you may be, so I was wondering if you guys can help me out and tell me if my PC could handle the upgrade, and if not give me a list of parts I might need to boost before investing in a graphics card..
I did read the thread at the top of the board about upgrading your graphics card, however I was still confused on what I should do..
I'm pretty sure I got down most, if not all of my system specs in my profile..But just in case I'm missing something, I'll provide you with a link to the computer model I purchased (Gamer Xtreme 1030) below...
Newegg.com - CyberpowerPC Gamer Xtreme 1030 Desktop PC Intel Core i5 750(2.66GHz) 4GB DDR3 500GB HDD Capacity NVIDIA GeForce 9500 GT Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit
(Specs can be found in the DETAILS tab)
This is the exact card I would like to purchase - http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/AS...=ATVPDKIKX0DER
Your assistance will be very much appreciated! :)
P.S: If more information on my system is required (IE: My Power Supply), please let me know.
Kind Regards,
Josh
