This actually is a Godsend. Because I think the replacement motherboard killed my 250, even if it didn't, I'm going to use that as an excuse to have them take it back. And I found this OutletPC.com - $59.98 - Biostar P43-A7 LGA775 ATX 4xDDR2 Motherboard which is fully compatible AND will let me have more RAM, AND is cheaper... so I think I have my solution to a temporary holdover until i7 country closer to November. Now the box for the graphics card says a minimum of 24A. The max my PSU says it puts out on the 12 volt rail is 25. Do I wing it and see if it will work on the right mobo, or do I definitely need to upgrade from my 575 watt that apparently gets a little wimpy on the 12v. I'm just trying to stop hemorrhaging money on a machine I just wanted to hold me over till fall/winter! Haha.

Well that would leave you only 1A for DVD, HDD, fans, etc. You can use a new PSU in your new build too, just keep it safe and warm in your current box. Heck, get a 850W, lots of headroom then.

Well that means I need to drop the cash on the one that's rated for the i7. I was kind of hoping I could avoid it but you're right about the power so... I guess I better shop around and tighten my belt for the glory of gaming haha.
