Well I guess this means that the third party driver for the graphical card might have something to do with it.

Id start looking at Nvidia driver versions.

Just installed latest and ton of other (automatic) updates and, although login-screen still changes monitor, I could reactivate the primary monitor, so here and now, it all works together. Have to reboot to make sure, though...

This is why I recommend people at least download and install those "important" updates Microsoft releases. I persoanlly see no reason not to do this.

Anyway glad to hear your issue is resolved.

Peace

USB 3.0 PCIe card in x16 slot?
Hello all, I searched but did not find any threads on a USB 3.0 card. So if I missed one just hit me over the head okay. Now for the question, I see lots of back panel USB 3.0 cards for PCIe slots. But can you plug that card into a PCI-Ex16 slot AND have it work? Or will they only work...

Card not working in first PCI-E slot
Hello everybody. Since sending a motherboard in for rma is both money-sink (need to ship it to them, a replacement unit and to reinstall windows) and an excruciating wait (weeks? months?) I'd like to try absolutely everything I can before I do. Two months ago everything was working fine, then...

PCI Express 3.0 card in 2.0 slot
Not a compatibility question, I'm fairly certain that wouldn't be an issue. The question is about overall performance gain. Looking at a Radeon R9 270, currently have a 5670. Here's a benchmark comparison from hwcompare.com - now I'm not a heavy gamer but I am running a mod on a particular favorite...

SD card slot not working.
This is a used Toshiba laptop I got a month ago. The previous owner said he never used the SD card slot. I know why, because it's not working. When I slide any SD card in, the light comes on for 1 second and then comes off. The card is not recognized. Needless to say, I know the cards are good...

PCI-E x16 Graphics Card to Fit a PCI-E slot.
Hi, I was wondering if anyone here has tried this, I have a spare monitor and wondering what you think about doing this. I have an OLD ATI Graphics card (fits PCIE of course) and I know it will work but wondering if it's worth the effort. My 560ti has only a 2 monitor capability and just 1...

Will a dual slot card fit?
Hey, I've finally decided to buy a new graphics card. It wouldn't fit in my current PC case, nor would my current PSU. Therefore I have to buy a new PSU and a new PC case too. I will move pretty much everything except the old PSU and graphics card (GT 320) to the new case. The card I intend to...
