    59Hz

For some reason Windows 7 beta is forcing my display refresh to 59Hz instead of allowing me to set it at 60Hz. If I change the setting the next time I look its back to 59Hz in display settings and as soon as I hit apply in the Nvidia CP.

Monitor is Hannspree 28" 1920x1200 LCD and the Vista 64bit driver is installed.

Nvidia GTX 280, same problem with every driver I've tried: default Win7, 181.20 and 185.20 alpha

I've seen this reported a few times across the net but no fixes yet, anyone have any suggestions or know what might be causing it?

I can run games at 60Hz if they allow the setting through their config menus.. but no matter what my desktop is 59Hz.

When you say Vista x64 driver installed, do you mean for the *monitor* or for your graphics card?

If for the Monitor, then the monitor profile might prefer 59 over 60....

The monitor, I'm pretty sure the its spec for 60Hz. It defaults to 60Hz in Vista 64bit.
find yourself in Hannspree - U.S.A.=

here is an excerpt from the .inf if it might be of any help:

That actually says max specs is 60 but maybe your car doesn't like 60 at that resolution....

It could be, but what hardware "likes" shouldnt really come into play though.. I would say that it's definitely a problem with Win 7 because it works fine in Vista/XP/Ubuntu. I can select it to 60Hz in Display Settings and Nvidia CP but it just won't stick.

Well, it recommends the 60 - which Graphics card driver are you running?

Thanks for taking the time to help, currently I'm running the leaked 185.20 alpha driver but I've had the same problem with the default driver included in the Windows 7 public beta as well as Nvidia's latest WHQL 181.20 (181.20 causes crashes in Fallout 3)

Hmmm....it sounds like *something* is interfering.

have you tried changing it not in the nVidia control Panel but in the Windows control panel, instead?

I have this exact same problem.

I have a HP w2207 with a native res of 1680x1050 @ 60hz and I can only set it at 59hz... it always changes back when I try it.

I have a GTX 260 with 185.20 drivers. Had the same trouble with the Windows Update and the 181.20 ones.

    Plz help, i can't find a solution
