    Uh.. no?

    I have NEVER done that.

In some rare instances it's important to do a clean uninstall of your old gtraphics card before installing the new one, but honestly I've never even run into a situation that required even doing that, and I've upgraded graphics cards on every MS OS there is (inluding W7 (7100)!)

no. The best thing to do is uninstall your drivers, shut the machine down, remove your video card, install new card, boot up, reinstall drivers, reboot.

yes, it's 100% bs - reinstall is complete overkill, only do it if you get major problems with the new card.

    enjoy your higher frame-rates!

no...... just make sure the old GPU drivers are gone, then install the new card...windows will detect the new H/W, then you can install the new driver.

    thats it.
