It's a bit ridiculous.
Pick a driver, any driver.
It's like this now:
Hotfix A has older WHQL 3D driver, but newer 2D, older everything else (only benefits old series)
Hotfix B Has the same WHQL 3D and 2D driver, but has a newer OpenCL
Hotfix C Has same 3D, 2D , new OpenGL but older blah blah (benefits new series only)
Preview A drivers have newer 3D driver but older mismatches of everything else
Preview B slightly older 3D, newer everything else (benefits crossfire)
WHQL - all of it's old.
+
CAP profiles aplenty
And not a single version that works well universally.
LOL. That about sums it up
BTW spyre doesn't seem impressed

The mouse lag issue was discussed a few drivers back and was supposed to be fixed. Looks like it back??? I've never had the issue myself though.
Don't have the issue, or don't play any of the games that it shows up in?
heh heh, he does seem a little annoyed :)
I noticed it in a few driver versions I tested, but I never kept the driver versions long enough for it to become an issue. The mouse lag issue was discussed a few drivers back and was supposed to be fixed. Looks like it back??? I've never had the issue myself though.
It was noticeable when closing fullscreen windows, you could see the cursor bog down - RTS games where top right screen scrolling was used made it a big deal for some.
AMD bug re-introduction strikes yet again
The two CAT teams really need to talk to each other a bit more.
When team 1 says 'we fixed something' , team 2 should go 'cool, we'll incorporate that fix into our sets'.
Crysis2 v1.4 runs choppy - flickering..
Worse case scenario is that you just have to revert to an older driver.
