I'm wondering if this one resolves the problem with older game titles since that was still a problem with the 10.9 even with the profile patch added. The old titles simply run into errors when trying to start them up. I still had to revert back to the 10.4 since the patch was focused more at some of the more recent.

well its a package of updates bug fixes etc not just game updates so yes always update when they release new packages in my opinion, at the web site you can see what's been released.
