    ati, amd, 9.2 64bit

I don't have the option of a 32 bit system, I'm running a 64 with a sapphire (4850)ATI Radeon, 12g corsair ram, on a msi x58 platinum mobo. seems I'm keeping up the the updates and my minor problem hasn't been fixed. The vid card will run 4 screens, I'm just trying to get two to work and haven't had any luck. I think I'm running out of options untill they come up with another upgrade. Nothing new comes easy so I expect to continue making changes until the drivers catch up. looking for a clue

Catalyst 9.2 32-64 bit without drivers is what I Used

The Catalyst 9.2 helped alot but the Auto Tune never moved adjustments. I could manually adjust them though and it worked fine . I'll Keep trying.Thank you. I do like alot of the Windows 7 Ultimate Beta improvements. I w what it would cost to make the Beta version permanent?onder

For those with installation problems on the 780G Chipsets; I have recently had some luck with the following installation instructions:

    1. Install your Windows 7 Build

    2. Install the ATI Win7 Beta Drivers, during the installation choose custom and unselect the "install drivers" checkbox.

    3. Install the new 9.2 drivers and cancel the installation before installation utility starts.

    4. Browse to the drivers directory and manually install the 9.2 driver.

CCC from the beta install will control the features on the 9.2 driver, so you're golden.

so as it is, everyone is having the same problem, the driver is hanging before it fully installs, Brink? let me know if the fix "running Vista in compat and upgrading works" I think at the rate they are upgrading the driver we may see the light from the company sooner rather than later

    Wkancyr,

I have a NVIDIA card, so I can't say for sure. You can give Compatibility Mode a try to see if it helps any though.

Multi monitor support seems a bit foobar in 9.1 and 9.2 under Seven.

I can't swap displays (it just disables the second monitor) so I can't disable my 24" and run my projector as the main screen

    No problems with Vista.

    Ahh, Catalyst, lol.

I'm glad I'm not the only one, two display's are better than one, I skipped vista, that is I only used it on one machine and it was a problem, still pleased with xp but I'm not to old to change. Looking forward to 7, everything else Ive done seems to work
