    Wrong native Resolution

    Hello,
Windows 7 says that my native resolution is supposed to be 1024x768 and shows me that number in the graphics menu.
I have a Hyundai T91D 19" with 1280x1024 as native resolution and I am thinking that this is causing my bad video-quality and the slowdowns I experience in certain programs while the monitor itself is correctly recognized by windoes
My graphiccard is a Nvidia 260GT and I updated to Forceware 190.38 today, but the problem still exists
I searched the forum and there were some similar problems, but nothing I tryed so far worked for me
If anyone has any suggestions how to change the native resolution to 1280x1024 I would be very happy to hear them.
    Thanks in advance

Yes, both the monitor and graphics Driver are working porperly, the weird thing is that I can change my resolution to 1280x1024 but Windows keeps telling me that my native resolution is 1024x768

Your monitor is reporting this as it's native resolution. Please see all the other related thread on this issue below.

Have you verified that the Driver is correct for your monitor.?
Many times the MS installed Driver is for Generic Monitor.
Many times the MS installed Driver is for Generic Video card.
Recommend you install the Recommended driver from the Manufacture for
Monitor. My samsung works better with actual Samsung Driver than it does with the MS Generic Driver.

I have installed the Vista-driver drom the Hyundai homepage after using the MS autoinstalled driver first, but nothing changed
The EDID monitor tells me indeed that my monitor is giving Windows 7 the wrong resolution, but trying to override that with a modified inf did not change a thing

Did you removed or DELETE the drivers installed by MS?
    there is a difference.
Try installing the old drivers in Compatible mode.
Have you rebooted after changing drivers?

Nvidia Geforce 260GT with newest Forceware 190.38
