Windows 7: What do game developers use to run their games?

What do game developers use to run their games?

It seems like even a high performance PC, with the latest nVidia 580GTX, doesn't really run the latest games that well, when the game is set to maximum settings, with all the anti-aliasing and graphics features on.

Crysis 2 has the most powerful graphics?
So what hardware do game developers of something like Crysis 2 use?

Windows 10 Pro

From what I understand (don't have Crysis 2) Crysis 2 runs a lot better than the first Crysis, even now.

Anyway my guess is that they use the latest hardware available at time of development, than branch out from there. However I'd imagine their PC is optimized for gaming/game development. Strictly a guess though.

Windows 7 ultimate 64 bit / XP Home sp3

I would think they use one or more of these cards in this list from the Egg. - Professional Graphics Cards, Workstation Video Cards

Windows 10 Pro

Yeah that's a possibility as well. Probably the high end Quadros or FirePros.

Games Explorer Game Type
