ATI - Dual Monitor - Video

Has anyone successfully managed to get video displayed on both monitors? Unlike in XP when I watch a video, it is only played back on my primary monitor.

You mean ATI Theatre mode where the video overlay spans mirrored monitors?

Just installed Win7 RC on Dell 64 bit (upgraded from Vista sp2), using NVIDIA Quadro NVS290 adapter. Cannot get dual monitors to work - using DVI cable - in NVIDIA setup, as well as win display setup, it shows both monitors, but will not display on second monitor - it just stays asleep. I've downloaded the Win7 64 bit driver from NVIDIA - still doesn't work - these worked fine on Vista 64. Any ideas?

General troubleshooting: swap monitor cable connections. If the same monitor's dead on a different cable then it's the monitor or how it interacts with Windows 7. If it's not then it's the cable and buy an new one.

swapped out monitor, swapped out cables - no change in results.

Elucidate please. Swapped or "swapped out" means something subtly different. Do you have three monitors or two? When you swapped monitors was the originally non-functional monitor still under test or was it removed from the equation?

Apply logic -- if the bad monitor is still bad on a different cable that works with another monitor then the monitor's at fault. If the bad monitor works on that cable then it's the cable. Which is it?
