    Dual monitor with my specs

Hi...can anyone tell me, by looking at my specs whether I can operate dual monitors? I have 1 LG Flatron Wide 17" and I want to run another 17" monitor with it so that I have more room for audio applications/ work.

I've never run dual monitors before and have no idea how to do it...or if my specs will allow it.

    thanks a lot

Unless the card or one of the monitors is faulty, shouldn't be any problems at all.

So from my gfx card...I can connect a 2nd monitor with which of these options?

Option 1: Connect 2nd monitor with HDMI connector to the gfx card using DVI to HDMI adapter & HDMI cable

    or

Option 2: If your gfx card has a native HDMI connector (I dunno...does it?), use the HDMI cable to connect it directly to 2nd monitor with HDMI connector.

    thanks if you can help.

Ok I have it sorted...now...anyone know a good free dual monitor software option?

I'd like to be able to have a different background on each screen...maybe...
