3 monitors, 2 identical graphics cards, windows 7. Four questions.
Hi everyone.
I have researched 3 monitors for a couple of nights and I have come to the conclusion below.
I want a basic setup not for gaming and I would like 3 monitors all being independent.
I know about ATI Eyefinity but if you want 3 independent displays then you have to use an active display port adapter or a monitor that has a display port. (why they couldn't make it simple)
*So I have concluded, if I get a MB that has 2 PCI-E slots and buy 2 identical Graphics Cards this should work. The cards being identical just makes it easier.
My questions are...
First question is the * statement correct?
Secondly if yes to * statement do I just plug the GPU's in install Win7 install the GPU drivers and then Win7 will be able to manage the 3 displays?
Thirdly will the below products go OK together bearing in mind this is a budget system that just wants to achieve 3 independent displays.
Biostar H55A+ Socket 1156 HDMI DVI VGA 6 Channel Audio.. | Ebuyer.com
Then 2 of these GPU's
Asus GeForce G210 SILENT 512MB DDR2 DVI VGA HDMI Out.. | Ebuyer.com
Fourthly I have also read if you have onboard graphics it is possible to run that and a GPU but not always, can you shine any light on that too?
Hope you can help, thanks for taking the time reading this.
Regards, CB.
