only thing they told me so far were drivers but the TDR is the problem cause it is a 2 second function for windows on start up

I need a good torturial on how to adjust it i took the card out im hoping maybe if i stick it back in later it will reset

I didn't see one here about TDR and with what the manufacture said about what they'll do etc I m thinking there just going to send my card back to me and not really do anything with it

I also said screw it and was contiplating a 6900 series and putting a sick warrenty on it so next time they will just cough up a card with out all the BS

Go to someplace like Guru3d .. you'd probably get more technical help there esp with your TDR probs. Good luck!

[Btw when I was reading reviews for the 4870 back then, most people recommended against brands like Diamond & HIS; just for next time you buy a Radeon!]

*darth vader blu ray voice* NOOOO! Don't use driver sweeper!! :O I asked because it usually causes problems! I've been out of touch with AMD for over a year now but have you tried installing the driver only ... ie. no CCC etc?
    LOL
Lucky I'm so busy and distracted. I didn't do it yet. Okay. So do you think I should just do a total reinstall of the driver? CCC will remain, because my the video chipset built into my motherboard is -- Okay hold on, Device Manager says that the 6850 is the only 1 installed, but my motherboard has a built in 4850 & now it's disappeared from the list. I'm going to reinstall both of the drivers I had for them beforehand, when I first got the pieces, and then see what happens.

    What is TDR?

Timeout Detection & Recovery .. don't worry about it.

You have onboard video? Can be disabled through the bios, you might have a driver conflict where it is detecting two radeons of different series'. Get that sorted out, then report back ... I think it should be alright then.
