Have you tried isolating the startup apps?

If not, you can use MSCONFIG to disable all startup apps. Re-boot and see if the problem continues to occur.

If it is DOES NOT, then you can begin enabling each startup app until the problem can be replicated.

If it does continue to occur then the focus switches to Windows OS/drivers/hardware or any combination thereof.

I may have missed the answer but are the MOBO settings stock or are they OCed?
Stock... and yeah i have tried disableing start up apps.

Well.... I see there are not any forthcoming possible solutions.

"Blackbox" problems are so much fun... brute force anyone?

My next step would be to crack the case, remove all unecessary cards - especially the TV Tuner or USB expansion cards, reseat all other cards and cables, remove any external HDDs or flash drive devices.

Re-boot again, let her run and see what happens.

Not very elegant I know but without any visible error conditon it sometimes becomes a matter of removing software/hardware to isolate the offending component (s).

Edit: Reseat the memory as well. A marathon run of your preferred memory testing program could not hurt either.

Well.... its not the tv tuner(USB). I suspected that too in the beginning. Dont have any special cards inside. Whats in my system spec is pretty much all i have... ofcourse + tv tuner and usb keyboard(G15). Tried switching memory.. have done some tests too.... all seems to work just fine.

Its kind a funny. If i format my drive and install windows on it and let it run for some time, it usually runs fine for a day.. then it crashes. Then it runs fine again for a day.... and crashes. And after that it starts to crash more often. It crashes when i watch movies.... when im not doing anything at all.... when im surfing the internet.... BUT NEVER when a game is running. I mean.. it havent crashed not a single time when a game is running. Weird. I have searched all over internet for this problem and havent found anything similar.

A seemingly random crash/lockup problem always is. You have my empathy.

Have you got another video card to test with? I know you don't want to have that suggested but it might eliminate it as the culprit, or prove that it is.

Another possible is the PSU is flaking out.

    Just some thoughts...

These types of problems seem to keep coming up. These guys covered all the bases pretty well I'd say. This is all I can think of > https://www.sevenforums.com/general-d...tml#post162766
