Should I install ATI CCC Or Just The Vid Driver

    880 chipset, ATI 4250 onboard video. NON-GAMER.
Do I need CCC or am I OK with just the driver ??
    Thanks for your time

As someone who analyses BSOD's I would say just the driver. Less chance of it stuffing up the system.

If you need any other the features in CCC you could install it later.

There are some interesting video/movie tweaks in ccc in addition to the standard 3d stuff.

Could you give me a couple of "tweak" examples ?? Streaming Vids play fine without CCC loaded. What would I gain ??

zigzag --- Would you recommend updating the driver, or if all seems well, just leave it alone ??

    Again, thanks for your time.

CCC includes a ton of video processing options now.
If you are happy with what you have go ahead and leave it off though.

I'm not particularly bothered with games as such, so I just installed the driver.

The system runs fine, and as zigzag said, there's less chance of blue screen problems.

    You're very welcome.

What did you decide to do in the end?

Driver only although CCC is installed it's not loaded at startup.
At some point I'll update only the driver and CCC will be gone.

I went ahead and got them both. I have run with just the driver before and everything was fine.
