I have tried both and have yet to experience the good it should bring about. The only thing that is better is no BSOD screens. Other than that, the driver keeps crashing from anywhere within a minute to ten after launching the game and continues to do so, eventually impairing the whole monitor (you start to see broken pixels on the screen, etc.). Before the TDR line, the issues weren't present (at least not that common).

What power supply are you using? Also sometimes that problem is the result of a failing video card...

750 w Kingston power supply. I will (if I remember) check the exact model on the rig. That said, the problem persists in both SLI and non-SLI modes, with the latter having fewer errors (the former crashes every minute or so). The card may be failing but I had it checked a short while ago (2months before Skyrim was here), so I doubt it. I believe there are some unsolved driver issues or other potential faults beyond my comprehension.

At the bottom of my posts see where it says "My System Specs" fill that out on your profile as completely as you can:)......

Most electronics work great..... till they die.......see if you have any of these symptoms Diagnose video card problems by comparing with example corrupted screens
