    Outdated Graphics Driver

Hi Guys, I am trying to play Minecraft but my Graphic Driver is outdated, so I downloaded a Driver Update software, and it found a bunch of drivers for me, it is a free version so a popup asked to purchase.

I googled the Graphics Driver but couldn't find it.

    Any help or suggestions please?

More are outdated but I only need the Graphics One.

try doing a windows update - sometimes there are drivers in the 'optional' section.

ok - good thing i used the word 'sometimes'

amd/ati no longer support your card, and hence don't make drivers for it any more.

this page suggests you try with a vista driver instead, but i really don't know if it will be newer than the one you have.

don't bother with the full software suite download, just the wdm driver. if it won't install, try it in vista compatibility mode (right-click on driver >> properties >> compatibility >> tick the first box and choose one of the vista options).

i'm not an expert on these old cards, so as i've said i don't know if it will be any newer than the driver you currently have.

please also fill out your system specs which may help others offer better advice.

Didn't work, it was pre-installed with Vista anyway, think I should purchase Vista, wipe the hard drive with the Clean all command and install Vista?

seems a bit drastic and expensive - are you sure you can still buy vista?

or you could always try setting up a dual-boot system so you can keep your 7 for most things, and just use vista for minecraft.
