HELP!!! standard vga graphics adapter Tried everything

Hello, I am new to this forum. I have been searching for days and tried everything to fix this problem. I was trying to play a game and once i opened it it said Failed loading OpenGL 1.2 [UGraphic.Initialize3D. On my old computer all i needed to do was to go to device manager and update my graphic card but since updating to window 7 i havent been able to see my graphic card and just says standard vga graphics adapter. I have speccy install and ready to give any information to fix this problem. once again i would really appreciate any help thank you. :)

Welcome to the forum. I am trying to find information on your computer. Is your computer a laptop or a desktop? Have you tried http://global-download.gateway.com/F...rDetection.exe to determine what display card you have in your system?

Alright, I have found the problem. Your system is very outdated, and NVIDIA stopped supporting your integrated graphics with a driver after Vista (so no driver for Windows 7). You could try downloading the driver for Vista from their site, but there is no guarantee it will work. It is usually not a good idea to mix and match drivers for display adapters.

If you want to see if NVIDIA can find the proper driver, go to Drivers - Download NVIDIA Drivers and click on Option 2: Automatically find drivers for my NVIDIA products. Or you can reach it directly from NVIDIA Driver Downloads - Automatically Detect NVIDIA Products

The above direct link only works with:

Supported operating systems: Microsoft Windows 98, 98SE, ME, 2000, XP, 2003, Media Center, Vista and Windows 7

Supported browsers: Internet Explorer, Firefox & Netscape.

You can use this tutorial to try and install the Vista driver in compatibility mode. https://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/98073-drivers-install-vista-drivers-windows-7-a.html

Thank you all for the fast replies. I tried the site to look for the driver automatically but nothing then i tried option 2 and changed the compatibility and it still didnt want to install the driver. I opened speccy and that is what it says when i click the graphics the program doesnt seem to find it. Should i just give up? considering that nvidia didnt do the drivers for windows 7. also i checked the site you gave me and i posted the screen shot.

    ps. I have a desktop emachine W3050

I see an ATI manufactured device for one VGA. Do you have a second display card installed, or do you only have the integrated display adapter?

I believe it is only the integrated display adapter.. I did tried connecting my old computers graphic card. A sony radeon 9200 asus RV280-LE A0625 but i doubt it it would detect it since i took it out yesterday because it made my computer acted weird and kept on rebooting itself and couldn't see anything on the screen until i disconnected it.

Ah, okay, that makes sense. I'm guessing remnants of that are showing up to the E-machines device checker. I do not think there is anything more you can do to increase your video performance. If anyone else has ideas, feel free to share, though. :)

That card is also outdated. I would suggest finding another AGP card that is newer and supported by Windows 7 and supported by your motherboard. You may have to do a bit of research since your machine is pretty old. I think if you upgrade to a different AGP card, you will need a better power supply unit (PSU) to support the necessary power to run it.
