    RC1 Show Desktop issue


    I'm running Windows 7 RC1 x86 on my desktop PC and having an issue with the Show Desktop feature - when I hover the mouse over the Show Desktop Bar (end of the taskbar) all open windows disappear as they should, however I don't get the outlines of the windows and the shading effect on the wallpaper. I also have Windows 7 RC1 on my laptop and there the window outlines show properly. I have an Nvidia 9600 GT card and I tried loading a different driver, but it didn't make a difference. Any thoughts on how I can troubleshoot this will be appreciated.

    You could try running the 'Aero Troubshooter', type 'troubleshoot' into the start menu & click 'Troubleshooting'. Then click 'Display Aero desktop effects' under Appearence and Personalization and see if anything is detected.

    Thanks for making me aware of the Aero Troubleshooter feature. Unfortunately it didn't find anything wrong.
