Ok I'm looking at a GTX 560(Ti)/GTX 570 and currently have a GT 430
What is best for the money, getting a 560(Ti) or spending more money on the 570?
Also what are some ATI cards like
And which brands should I get
If you're not on a budget, get the GTX 570, you'll be able to squeeze more FPS(10-20) out of it & it can also be overclocked quite a bit, but so can the 560. Here's a comparison: AnandTech - Bench - GPU11
While I can't comment on ATI cards(don't use them that much), I can recommend some Nvidia brands.
PNY, ASUS, Msi or Gigabyte all good brands, but try getting a card with at least twin fans & highest warranty(some cards have lifetime warranty). If you're not comfortable overclocking, you can always get a factory OC card.

Side by Side the 570 is certainly the better card.
However, at that resolution the 570 would likely not do any better than the 560 TBH. The extra horsepower it has really will not come into to play until higher resolutions are used.
Unless you plan on upgrading to a higher resolution monitor, the 560 would be the better choice.
If you do plan on upgrading soon to something like a 1080P monitor, the 570 would be a good choice.
EVGA is also a good brand, especially if interested in warranties.
They offer either card with a lifetime warranty and Step-Up program.
StepUp is if you decide you want a more powerful card in 90 days, you just send it back and pay the difference for the new one within 90 days.
If these features interest you, you'll want one of thier cards with the -AR skew number.
-KR is a 3year warranty with no StepUp option, although a bit cheaper.
To some, the extra $5 or so is worth the lifetime warranty and option to step up to a newer card if you so choose.
You really need to upgrade your monitor to a higher res(1920-1080) to make good use of that 570 otherwise it's a waste.

I Agree you really should get a higher res monitor later to get the most out of it. Still, I think you'll be satisfied with it.
