Mobile Intel(R) 4 Series Express Chipset Family

I have HP Compaq Presario CQ61 with Mobile Intel(R) 4 Series Express Chipset Family graphics and here is information:

    Display Memory: 1295 MB
    Dedicated Memory: 64 MB
    Shared Memory: 1231 MB

It is something to do to change dedicated memory, because i cant play GTA San Andreas on 800x600 and lowest settings its still lagging?

Other info is: 4GB RAM, Dual Core CPU 2.10Ghz @ 2.1Ghz

It's something to do with the graphics engine...It's just too weak....and no it can't be upgraded

see if you can change some options in your BIOS to change the dedicated memory size.

update your drivers. if you are running Windows 7/Vista, disable Windows Aero to improve system performance. If you are running Windows XP, disable all Windows effects. Now you should have a desktop like Windows 2000's one. this should improve a little bit your graphics performance.

If you want, you can try to overclock your GMA with the GMA overclock tool (search on google). it should give you another little boost.
WARNING: overclock your components at your own risk.

Intel's integrated graphics aren't designed to play 3D games, you need a dedicated graphics card to play those games...

That's strange..I am able to run San Andreas on 1024X768 on my x3100 and I can even run it on 800 X 640 on my Intel 82865G. Well yes the x3100 has 345MB of memory and I get all the memory to use and on my 82865G which has 96MB of memory too is able to run San Andreas on the resolution that I've specified well this look like you might have to do some configuration in the BIOS to change the amount of dedicated memory available. Well for your dedicated memory available, I guess you still should be able to play it and yes with a little lag which is fair.
