they are both bad TBH for the games u want to play.
the HD 5450 may have the advantage for newer games and the 8600 GT may have the advantage for older games. |

The 8600GT is better, but quite a bit older, so not so future proof and it doesn't have support for DX11.

the 8*** range of cards are over 4 years old, and rather dated.
shogun 2 is a very graphic intensive game, and used as a benchmarking tool for modern high end graphics cards. id find a bit more money and get something decent, youd be better off with intigrated graphics than a 5450 lol find around $100 and get something like a HD 6850. |

well i own a 5450 but i wouldn't recommended it really low end big advantage it has over a 8600 is that the 5450 has dx11 support,i'm going to update to somthing better but since your on a budget i would atleast get a xfx HD 5670 Newegg.com - XFX HD-567X-ZNF3 Radeon HD 5670 1GB 128-bit DDR5 PCI Express 2.1 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFireX Support Video Card cost $84.99usd
heres some gameplay useing this card, runs new games pretty nice around 40fps at decent resolution and settings |
