Yay!! This worked for me too! I was upgrading my mother's old PC and she had a 9250 card. This driver saved the day!

Worked on it last night, and got this card to work. Showed it off this morning.

    The download I used was:
    vista_ati_radeon_xddm_614106606.zip

It's the driver only; 2.68gig; extracts to 6.0gig; there is no setup.exe; there is an inf.

Go into Device Manager - Update Driver - and direct D/M to the pci_ven subfolder.
After it installs, reboot - and voila! In parentheses next to RADEON 9250 is (Microsoft Corporation-XDDM); driver version is 6.14.10.6606; driver date is 8/15/2006.

Full screen, stable, no BSOD's on shutdown. Stuttery on YouTube which suits the boss just fine. Runs all his apps. Able to surf the net okay (again, no videos). In his office environment, it's good enough.

On my Google search, I came across some Vistaheads that found this (or modded it) and got it to run successfully. Type it in to the search bar; I believe it was the first listing that had it - **************. The 4shared site claimed that M/S made them remove it.

Just so you know, if you plan on updating that PC to Win8 in the future, those drivers will NOT work. MS removed support for XDDM drivers from Win8.

    Why can't you follow directions?

I typed the file into my browser, and found it in three locations. I'm not going to do your work.

Get the file, extract it, and follow directions. It works!
