    But won't the GTX 295 and 4870x2 be compatible with the new DirectX 11?

    They will work, but they don't have dx11 support.

    No they will not be able to use the new DX11, only new cards with the appropriate hardware will be able to use it, it was the same for DX10, a DX9 card could not use DX10.

    it means that dx10 card can't run dx11 features (like dx9 card which had shader 3.0 couldn't run shader 4.0 which is a dx10 feature)

    Ok, just one more quick question.
    Can i make Crossfire with 4870x2 and a 4870
    They are both the same right? but one is Factory Crossfired. I think.

    Nope, i dont think so, you can do something like the QuadSLI=QuadCF(?)
    linking two dual core gfx
