    4870x2 or GTX 295?

So, i bought my new computer and i can Choose between those

So, if i will get the GTX 295, i will have to pay 250$ more than if i would have the 4870x2 from ATI.

    So which one i choose?

I searched many websites making comparisons, and all of them are unfair.
For example, they run a Nvidia Based Benchmark on ATI, or vice-versa.
    So, which one is better?

    Thanks,
    Alex.

GTX 295 is about 15% faster than 4870x2, but difference in price is too big (no cost effective).

As far as I know Intel X58 based mainboard has only two PCI slots for ATI graphic cards.

Ok then its a free pick between the two(the mb is not
    CF of SLI oriented)

The Ati has more shadders, supports directx 10.1 (if it means
anything to you), and has 2 GPUs(just like having CF)

The nvidia has less shadders(but they are "more powerful"),
PhysiX support, And 1 strong GPU(rather than Ati witch has 2x more the
    power consumption)

I personaly would wait until Ati or Nvidia publish their first
    DirectX 11 certified cards.

Sorry to correct you but the GTX295 is a dual GPU card, it also comes in a dual GPU single PCB model as well.
