issues with AMD vision control center.

Hi, it randomly started occuring. Every program besides two work on my computer, the Curse client for gaming addons, And AMD vision control center. I click on one of them and it hangs for awhile with just a white box opening. it will just sit there until i click anywhere in the box. then i get the message: "Catalyst Control Center: HOst application is not responding. if you close the program you might lose information. CLose the program wait for program to respond. It does the same exact thing for curse client. but it's only these two programs. nothing has changed about my computer no updates or anything like that. It just randomly decided to do this one day which is a bummer because i can no longer overclock my cpu/gpu. My GPU is a ati radeon hd 5770 which is the only different thing about my computer then whats listed in my PC specs. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I've done the usual uninstall/reinstall both things/ drivers whatever. virus scan memtest all of it. Nothing has proven me success.

First download latest CCC from AMD and save. Next, un-install current CCC...a reboot will be required. After reboot install newly saved CCC..again a reboot is needed. Then do the same for the other software app.

Download the latest drivers: AMD Graphics Drivers & Software

Update everything and give the system a re-boot.

Come back if you need more help.

The next thing I would do is make sure my system is clean from Virus's and Malware, Spyware of any kind. Sometimes this nasty buggers do exactly what you're experiencing. Run full scans and run them in safemode with networking. This way you can update software and then run the full scan with only the bare minimum services running...it's a long and tedious process.
