    Upgrade advice

    hi all :)

im upgrading my HD 5550 card to a HD 6770 and i notice the ccc management is the same for both cards from AMD update. now do i un-install the ccc or could i leave it on the machine because its the same? do i have to un-install the driver from device manager for the HD 5550 shut down machine swop card over and re-boot. or is it best to un-install all the ccc and driver for HD5550 and install fresh?

A clean unplug\plug\uninstall\new install is always better.

Download and install the new version of Driver Sweeper.

Download the most recent software\driver for your ati
    AMD Graphics Drivers & Software.

Uninstall ati software\driver in Control Panel Items\Programs and Features,
restart in safe mode, run driver sweeper, choose only AMD-Display and clean, restart in safe mode .

Uninstall completely the driver from device manager.

Shutdown the pc,unplug the power cord (or switch off the psu).

Open the case, touch any metal surface to earth your self avoiding static energy, unplug the old gpu, plug the new gpu.

Start the pc install the new amd software\driver catalyst, restart.

    Update DirectX if needed.

    Restart,enjoy your new gpu.
