I have some news.
I just finished a session with another guy that has the same problem.
Guess what. The overscan slider is available in some resolutions/hz settings, and in others it's not. It simply disappears!!
Worst of all. The only setting that gave the guy a perfect image (1920x1080 @24Hz) made the screen a bit to big. And overscan is not available in that setting.
Don't you just love ATI software?
Edit: Well, to be fair to ATI, the problem lies with the TV manufacturers who don't respect the official standards.
Especially the hz settings are often way off on LCD TV's.
When you set a true 60HZ with powerstrip, and the TV i supposed to be 60HZ, it's actually on 59.9hz which screws things up.
When you set Powerstip to 59.9hz, the TV goes black.
luckily I've got a LG which is right on the ball with the settings.

Between Ati and Nvidia Im surprised we ever got beyond SVGA

You really have to take some responsibility for yourself. 2 of us asked you to fill in your system specs, which you didnt do. We suggested several things to try and your response "you guys were of no help to me"
That really doesnt gain you help or friends. You are new so you get cut some slack but its your system that needs fixing
