    Screen resolution broken?

Sorry for repost if it is

    Hiya;D

i moved into a new house last week and when i turned on my pc i noticed how there was a 3/4 inch black gap between where the screen displayed colour and the end of the screen. I have installed the newest graphics drivers on my sapphire radeon 4850HD but it doesn't seem to change.. There are no new important windows updates, which i thought it would've fixed it in the first place. anyone have any idea?

We would love to help but kinda need your system specs (lower left corner) so that we know what hardware you have

    Hi Farr,

There's nothing wrong except for stupid ATI Catalyst software.

You need to find the option "Overscan", which has a slider to set the image to cover the whole screen.
    That's all.

    But...
Take a stack of sandwiches, disconnect the phones and cancel all appointments, because ATI hid the Overscan so well it might take some time to find it.
Took me 20 minutes to find it.

The new ATI UI is the worst designed UI I ever came across.

    Good hunting.

Well, I have two options for you both of which you won't like.

You can search again and prepare to eat a lot of sandwiches in the mean time, or wait until my wife stops watching her recordings on the HTPC.

Don't know which of the two options will be faster.

But i will eventually post some screenshots here, and I will make a tutorial on ATI's BS Catalyst software, in the tutorial section.

    Just thought of something.

I can do RDP session without login my wife off the HTPC.

I'll try to make a few screenshots.

    Give me 15 minutes.
