    Intel(R) G41 Express Chipset

    Hello

I have a problem with my Intel(R) G41 Express Chipset Graphics Card , I Install Modo 601 to learn 3D Modeling
Welcome to Luxology.com :: Home of modo 3D Software for the Entertainment and Design Markets

but i can't use that software , i mean it's crash all the time and this is what shows error

    Problem Event Name: APPCRASH
    Application Name: modo.exe
    Application Version: 601.48460.0.0

it seems that it's OpenGL related Problem Cuz Modo required OpenGL in order to work Good , however i did Install the latest Intel driver from here
    http://downloadcenter.intel.com/Sear...xpress+Chipset

according to luxology Modo Require OpenGL 2.0 and according to Intel this Graphic Card Support OpenGL 2.1 , but still can't get that work very Good without crashing the software

However when i let my Windows 7 64bit Install the "WDDM 1.1" driver from Microsoft Update the software no longer crash , but the problem is Microsoft driver "WDDM 1.1" doesn't support OpenGL at all , so the software not working good without OpenGL

Do you know guys any third party driver can fix this problem ?

    thanks

    2GB Ram
1- Modo 601 requires a minimum of 2 gigs of ram for itself. You only have two. You have 64 bit that requires 2 gigs of ram to run, and you want to run modo which requires 2 gigs of ram for itself as well. You need a minimum of 4 gigs of ram to do that.

2- Modo requires 1280x ? resolution. Can your chipset support that?

    Thanks for reply

    yes my card can support 1280 , in fact it's 1366 x 768 now

regarding ram , yes but i have Autodesk Maya and Houdini 12 and Zbrush 4 and they all requires 2GB and they all work with no single crash in this PC

It is the Windows installer that link redirects to MS. I'm not sure that anyone has programmed a 64 bit one yet that doesn't fall over.
Thing is the video driver for the chipset should be installing that sort of support.
    This from Intel
" G41 Express Chipset delivers optimized 3D graphics performance and support for Microsoft DirectX* 10, Shader Model* 4.0, and OpenGL* 2.0."

Could try reinstalling the chipset driver, or updating if possible.
