Trying to set up 3 monitors with Gigabyte Radeon 6950 card

    Greetings,

I am trying to set up 3 separate monitors using a Gigabyte Radeon 6950 graphics card in Windows 7 HP x64.

    The monitors:
    2 - Acer 21.5" DVI-D widescreen 16:9 running natively at 1920x1080
1 - 32" Sony HDTV also at 1920x1080, via HDMI

The graphic card's physical outputs are:
    DVI (2)
    HDMI (1)
    DisplayPort (1)

**NOTE** - I already installed an Accell Active DisplayPort to single-link DVI adapter, and am using it for one of the Acer monitors.

The ATI Catalyst software can detect all 3 screens, but I cannot extend the desktop to more than 2.

Again, the current physical connections are:

One DVI-D port to one Acer monitor (DVI)
One Active DisplayPort-to-DVI adapter to the other Acer monitor (DVI)
    One HDTV via HDMI

Solution? is it within EyeFinity someplace (I wasn't able to see more than 2 monitors in EyeFinity).

I just figured this out - on the back of my graphics card, since it's a 2-slot card, one side has 3 ports - DVI, HDMI and DisplayPort, while the other slot was just another single DVI port.

In order to get the three screens to extend, I had to plug in all 3 of my monitors the one ONE SIDE of the card (I mistakenly was trying to run one monitor via DVI off of the second slot's DVI port).

So, the HDTV via HDMI, one Acer monitor via DVI and the other Acer monitor via the Accell DisplayPort-to-DVI active adapter.

That, and disconnecting all 3 screens and reconnecting them one screen at a time. Works great now - I can travel across all 3 with the mouse in whatever layout I like.
