Confusion with graphics card driver software

    Hi there,

firstly excuse me since I'm not much knowledgeable about these stuffs
I use a Hp laptop and it has ATI Mobility Radeon 4500 series. Few months ago I had hardware problem with my laptop. So took it to a repair shop and then they fixed it (they said that there was problem with the BIOS and RAM) and re-installed the windows for me.
Now that I tried to play some games I'm having problem. Like once I was getting Opengl error. I searched over the internet for solution and one said to update the driver software. So I opened the device manager and saw under the Display Adapter it is shown ATI Mobility Radeon 4500 series (Windows Corporation WDDM 1.1). Now I don't think I have the proper driver software and that I should get one, probably I'll download it from the AMD website. So am I correct? And before installing the new driver software, do I need to do anything with the WDDM 1.1 or do I just install the software, keeping everything as they are? Is there any possibility of problem occurring if I do the later one?

btw, my RAM is 2GB, processor is Intel Core2 Duo @2.4GHz and I use Windows 7 32-bit
hope I was able to clarify my problem

    thank you :)

The one from AMD should work as long as your laptop also doesn't have switchable graphics, which is where it also has Intel graphics that is used for low power/regular use and the AMD is used for high power/gaming use. If it does have switchable graphics then you will have to get the driver from HP as it will have the intel driver integrated into the AMD driver.

I think my one is then a switchable graphics (found it here: http://www.amd.com/us/products/techn...-graphics.aspx)

and I think this is one is from the Hp: ATI Mobility Radeon Video Driver HP Pavilion dv6-1116tx Entertainment Notebook PC - HP Customer Care (United States - English)

also I found this in the website under category graphics: Mobile Intel 4 Series Express Chipset Family Graphics Driver HP Pavilion dv6-1116tx Entertainment Notebook PC - HP Customer Care (United States - English)<--- what is this one for?

and what should be my best course of action?
    thanks
