    Well, we have a result of sorts! His Nvidia GTX 480 worked like a charm on all my games, and my ATI HD5970 got the BSOD twice when he tried launching games. I guess it's time to look for the warranty!

hd5970 hangs at start up

hd5970 hangs at start up sometimes then you turn pc off then on then press key too start windows normally then works fine. then when you leave off for few hours you have too do the same again.

ok...... so here's my HD 5970 experience. :) 42264 42265 upon receiving the card i was as happy as a pig in poop :p, packaging was great, card was sealed..(for some reason they love to pull these cards out of the boxes at the warehouses..??) its an absolute MONSTER, i knew it was big...
