    guys a little confusion here....

    i can't afford the ddr5 version of 5670...

    so finally it comes down to 5670 ddr3 v/s 240 ddr5....? (also gt240 is rs640 less than 5670)

by seeing some reviews and benchmarks of gddr5 version of gt240 i was pretty much impressed..and as my max res is 1366*768 i belive it will do the job...right..?

    so which is better gt240 ddr5 or hd5670 ddr3...?

and power consumption wise gt240 would fit my psu better right..?

    Edit:
    oh no... look at this...
    http://www.hwcompare.com/196/geforce...adeon-hd-5570/

    so now its now 5570ddr3/5670ddr3/240ddr5...?

The review you are looking at, refers to the ddr5 version of the 5670. The ddr3 5670 and the ddr5 gt240, for the most part, would perform about the same. There are games that the gt240 will perform better on, but on average, they are about the same. Even though the core clock is higher on the 5670 than the gt240, the higher memory speeds make up for the difference. Again, there are some advantages the gt240 has, but I would say the biggest advantage the ddr3 5670 has over the gt240 is power consumption. The 5670 uses much less power than the gt240.

Okay, you are right. But, at your price point, you should be able to find a HD6670 ddr5. That will give you the best bang for your buck. you said 3500-4000 Indian Rupees right?

There may be a limited selection of cards where he lives too.
Vinny,.....get one of the Radeon Cards. The 5670 should outperform the 5570, so get it.
