    Hi there
On your TV you need to select the input mode I would imagine -- otherwise how does the TV know when it's meant to be showing TV, HDMI, VGA mode or whatever.

Usually you can select on the TV input mode such as AV1 / AUX 1 or whatever -- there must be an S-Video Input mode as well.

The APPLICATION you are running on the computer also needs to be aware that you want to output it via S-VIDEO slot on your video card.

I don't think you can use s-Video mode for standard Computer monitor output -- you'll need a normal VGA monitor cable, or an HDMI connection (or a DVI one).

It Should work for outputting DVD's / TV tuner output etc.

    Cheers

    Hi there

You've answered your own question - If the TV can't accept the Source then it's no point supplying it.

Convert your s-VHS to standard Audio / Video or plug the output into one of those SCART adapters that have an S-VHS input plus Video / audio input and then plug this scart into your TV.

    Cheers
