Windows 7 gives a graphics rating of 1.0

    Hello everyone first post

So Windows 7 gives me a graphics rating of 1.0, when I have no graphics card in the computer. Will a 16MB graphics card get it up to at least 3.0?

    Many thanks,

Nope. Win 7 needs a minimum gpu of 256Mb to even run aero. With what you have you cant. Bet your Ram is thin as well.

Could tell you more if you put in your system specs.

By saying you have no graphics card
you mean your graphics is integrated in motherboard/CPU?

if so it uses RAM for its memory sometimes there is setting in bios to change size.

but old 16MB card will do no better or even worse (as it will not be compatible with win7)

You are leaving out all the information that will allow us to help you. With no graphics card, you wouldn't see anything on the monitor. As mentioned, you likely have a built-in, onboard, card. A score of 1.0 usually means drivers aren't loaded for the video card.
